Parvo Virus A Highly Contagious And Deadly Virus


Parvo Virus / Canine Parvovirus is a highly contagious virus and can generate life-threatening illness for the sufferer. The virus attacks rapidly, separating the cells in the body and the most severe is attacking dog gut tract. Parvovirus also attacks the white blood cells and if an early age infected with this virus, the virus will destroy the heart muscle and cause a heart problems in dogs for life.

Parvo in dogs is a disease that is very serious and potentially deadly. Puppies who contract the disease often die because diseases caused by these viruses. Most dogs are affected by this disease are under age of 1 year. Parvo disease is very contagious and does not require direct contact. Parvovirus can live in the soil or an infected dog feces for a year, even at extreme temperatures.

Parvovirus incubation period is between 3 to 10 days. The symptoms may start appearing immediately after the incubation period, growing rapidly within 12 hours or less. Cardiac Parvovirus is the most deadly type of parvo. This type of heart attack, and can kill with or without symptoms. This type infects the majority of puppies are still very young.
